Trip Description

Bakewell - Set in an enviable location on the banks of the River Wye, this beautiful old market town is siutated in the heart of the Peak District. Famous for its puddings and Annual Events, it received the royal charter as a market town in 1330 - Market Day is still held every Monday. 

Hartington - A scenic old limestone village centred around a square and duck pond, with an array of fine old buildings, including the Charles Cotton Hotel, St. Giles Church, the Market Hall and Hartington Hall. A good selection of gift shops, cafes, pubs and small pottery and although the Hartington Creamery is now closed, the adjacent speciality cheese shop is still open.
