The southern part of Wales is an area that captures the real essence of Welsh culture with an interesting heritage, dramatic coastlines and some spectacular scenery. in the capital city of Cardiff, visit the National Museum Cardiff (free entry) with it's eclectic range of exhibits, from masterful paintings by Van Gogh to a moon rock retrieved during the Apollo 12 mission in 1969. Plenty of historic covered arcades for sitting and watching the world go by, whilst sampling Welsh cakes served straight from the griddle.
A modern, contemporary hotel, the 4* Mercure Cardiff North Hotel is just 3 miles from Cardiff and is ideally situated for exploring the South Wales. Located in the docklands district of Tiger Bay, the location inspired its design, with it's copper aesthetic and Welsh love spoons, textiles and miners' hats displayed. The 130 spacious rooms have low step in shower rooms, 40” LCD TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, hairdryer, complimentary mineral water and Free WiFi.
